About the School

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEND teacher to join our team in an 'Outstanding' SEMH school in Wimbledon. Our school supports children and young people with varying learning needs, providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive.

Job Summary:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher to work with children and young people with varying learning needs. As a SEND teacher, you will be responsible for planning engaging lessons, teaching English, Maths, and Science to lower abilities, and working with small groups to improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons to meet the needs of students with varying learning abilities
  • Teach English, Maths, and Science to lower abilities, using a variety of teaching methods to engage students
  • Work with small groups to improve student engagement and outcomes, using creative and innovative approaches

Requirements:

  • Professional teaching qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE / B.Ed / PTLLS / DTLLS / CELTA)
  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with Additional Educational Needs, specifically SEMH
  • Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if needed)

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive extensive CPD opportunities, full-time hours, and a range of benefits.
