About the Role
- Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures
- Comply with all HS&E legislation and Group Policies
- Comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain and develop technical skills as required
- Work a 5-day out of 7 rota
We'll provide your overalls and all the tools and equipment needed.
Hourly Rate
- £18.00 p/h (Overtime paid at time and a quarter)
- If you have a PCV licence, you'd also be entitled to an additional 20p per hour from day 1
- We offer additional training, which leads to additional pay. This effectively increases your salary by up to £5k once 10 training modules are completed
Working Shift Patterns
- 39hrs p/w
- 5 days out of 7
About You
- A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent in mechanics, and proven work experience in bus & coach, HGV/LGV, cars, or van garages
- Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering Environment
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Aptitude to develop others within the Engineering Team
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors
- PCV licence desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence essential
