Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Wherry Hotel in Lowestoft. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting general venue maintenance, managing associated contracts, and ensuring the upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general venue maintenance and manage associated contracts
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing / carpentry
  • Wall tiling and painting & decorating skills
  • Happy to work on your own initiative
  • Communicate effectively with both the public and work colleagues
  • Be fully familiar with all Health and Safety instructions relevant to your area of work.
  • Adhere to all current legislation pertaining to fire, health and safety regarding the work place
  • Maintaining health and safety standards in line with all venue risk assessments and handyman operational exemptions
  • Manage grounds and gardens, or the relationship with those contractors
  • An organised record keeping, confident in the use of software such as trail to record and update the status of tasks.
  • You are ready to learn - You will be given training in the form of online courses and reading as well we on the job coaching; be ready and willing to absorb lots of information to help you become the best you can be.
