As a skilled engineer, you'll take your mechanical skills to the next level. You'll be responsible for vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures.
About the Role
- Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures
- Compliance with all HS&E legislation and Group Policies
- Compliance with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintenance and development of technical skills
- 5-day out of 7 rota
We'll provide your overalls and all the tools and equipment needed.
Hourly Rate
- £18.00 p/h (Overtime paid at time and a quarter)
- Additional 20p per hour for PCV licence holders from day 1
- Additional training leading to increased pay (up to £5k)
Working Shift Patterns
- 39hrs p/w
- 5 days out of 7
About You
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ standard in mechanics, with proven work experience in bus & coach, HGV/LGV, cars, or van garages
- Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering Environment
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Aptitude to develop others within the Engineering Team
- Effective communication with colleagues and superiors
- Desirable: PCV licence, ability to obtain PCV licence essential
