We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar and Events Manager to join our team at Utopian Professional Recruitment Services Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front of house team, executing flawless events, and ensuring seamless completion of all events from booking to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to ensure the successful execution of all events.
  • Manage weekly bar stock takes, deliveries, and orders to ensure all bars are stocked for business needs.
  • Create and maintain minimum stock levels for all Bar items to prevent negative impacts on business.
  • Set up events and ensure correct set-ups following business sheets supplied by the Sales and Events department.
  • Coordinate between departments, including Sales & Marketing Manager, Head Chef, and F&B Assistants, to ensure smooth event/shift execution.
  • Lead and deliver events in a professional manner, including Wedding MC roles when required.
  • Manage pricing and ensure meeting of GP's.
  • Train and empower F&B staff to upsell and promote offers.
  • Manage staff performance, record underperforming issues, and deal with them effectively.
  • Create staff rotas and manage absences as per company policy.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Event and Bar Management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GP's and pricing.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Approachable and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Personal Bar Licence.
  • Experience providing a first-class level of service.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
  • High level of initiative, common sense, and positive attitude.
  • Reliable with self-discipline, committed, and driven.
