About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Project Manager to join our team at Tetra Tech. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and quality assurance plans.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing projects and programmes for local and central government bodies or other significant public sector clients.
  • Chartered project professional (APM) or equivalent, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior client representatives and project teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients to deliver results, and to identify and develop phased approaches to delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Excel, and Word.
