About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at John Bean Technologies Corporation. As a key member of our PLF International business, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting our powder filling lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing your programming skills in PLC, HMI, networking, and MES.
  • Be the go-to expert for specialist information and knowledge of controls and electronic synchronized drive systems, including motion technology such as servo drives, kinetix, and virtual axis.
  • Lead on design and implementation of automation for projects and machinery.
  • Collaborate with teams such as sales, engineering, and R&D.
  • Occasionally lead projects and provide on-site guidance.
  • Be responsible for design, testing, and manufacturing costs on projects.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of motion control implementation and solutions, including Siemens TIA portal and Step 7.
  • Experience working with User Requirement Specifications and Functional Design Specifications.
  • Ability to generate internal Functional Design Specifications.
  • Comfortable with remote work, with travel estimated at 60% of the time.
  • Effective communication with colleagues through video media.
