Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at John Bean Technologies Corporation. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting our powder filling lines.

• Support multiple projects simultaneously using programming skills, including PLC, HMI, networking, and MES.
• Be the go-to person for specialist information/knowledge of controls and electronic synchronized drive systems and motion technology, such as servo drives, kinetix, and virtual axis.
• Lead on design and implementation of automation for projects and machinery.
• Collaborate with teams such as sales, engineering, and R&D.
• Occasionally lead projects and provide on-site guidance.
• Be responsible for design, testing, and manufacturing costs on projects.

• Knowledge of motion control implementation and solutions required.
• Experience working with User Requirement Specifications & Functional Design Specifications.
• Generate internal Functional Design Specifications.
• Travel and Location: Comfortable with being very remote, travel is around 60% of the time.
