Job Title: Automotive Technician

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at People Solutions in Rugby. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting vehicles and diagnosing any required work
  • Discussing required repairs with customers
  • Calculating the expected time and cost of vehicle work
  • Repairing or replacing components as required
  • Road testing vehicles to test repair work
  • Fitting and servicing vehicle accessories, including immobilisers, alarms and stereos
  • Performing service checks
  • Performing vehicle maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and air filters, as required
  • Cleaning and maintaining the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety

Requirements:

  • Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent or time served experience
  • Must have a full Driving Licence with no more than 9 points
  • Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
