Role OverviewThe IT Director will lead the IT strategy, ensuring that the IT infrastructure, applications, and services align with the business goals. This role is crucial for driving innovation, managing technology resources, and maintaining a secure, scalable, and reliable IT environment. The IT Director will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, lead a team of professionals, and collaborate with key business stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic IT Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports business goals.
- Lead technology initiatives that drive efficiency, innovation, and digital transformation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption to gain a competitive advantage or improve operations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT efforts with organizational objectives.
IT Operations:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and business applications.
- Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of all IT systems.
- Manage the IT service desk to ensure responsive, high-quality technical support.
- Develop and enforce IT policies supporting business continuity, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Maintain the highest standards of security for data, systems, and networks.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, such as GDPR and ISO 27001.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Continuously evaluate and mitigate IT risks.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the IT team, offering guidance and opportunities for professional growth.
- Recruit and retain top IT talent for a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective, reliable IT services.
- Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement of IT software, hardware, and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address IT needs across the business.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Monitor IT spending, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide regular reports on IT performance, KPIs, and financial forecasts.
Education & Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in digital transformation or technology services.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, and enterprise software applications.
- Experience in managing large-scale digital transformation projects.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in IT strategy development and execution.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity standards, network security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, data management, and IT infrastructure architecture.
- Proficiency in IT budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor management.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
