Job Title: Adult Social Care Policy Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Social Care Policy Lead to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in shaping and implementing policies that support the health and wellbeing of adults with learning disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Learning Disabilities Acute Liaison Service, providing expert knowledge and support to ensure the organization meets its responsibilities regarding adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities. You will work closely with our multi-agency professional teams to enhance service provision and delivery, and provide leadership and strategic direction in accordance with national and local policies.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert advice and support on matters involving adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities.
  2. Lead and champion the needs of adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities across the Alliance.
  3. Provide effective professional leadership to multi-agency teams and influence practice to enhance service provision.
  4. Support activities to ensure the organization meets its responsibilities regarding adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities.
  5. Collaborate with professional practitioners to deliver a whole systems approach for the identification and treatment of patients with learning disabilities.
  6. Provide evidence-based knowledge and leadership on issues affecting the health and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities in acute and community settings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant experience in a senior clinical position within learning disability services, with a strong understanding of local and national policies. You will also need to have leadership and management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teams and influence practice.
