Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SENDCo to join our team at an OUTSTANDING primary school in Islington. As a SENDCo, you will play a crucial role in leading the SEN provision and ensuring that all students receive the highest quality support tailored to their individual needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with diverse special educational needs and excellent leadership skills. They will also have a proven track record of developing effective strategies and support plans, collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies, and monitoring the progress of SEN students.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the SEN team, developing effective strategies and support plans, and monitoring the progress of students with special educational needs. They will also be expected to collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the needs of students with special educational needs and the ability to develop innovative solutions to support their learning.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Qualified SENDCo with a National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)
  • Experience working with children with a diverse range of special educational needs
  • Strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to inclusion
  • A clear DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK
