Commercial Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Contract Cost Control Specialist to join our team and support our key programme responsible for the re-kitting, refurbishment, or new build of facility services, plant, and equipment related to production, engineering, and science facilities.
About the RoleThe primary responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate cost control throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-contract measurement to post-contract evaluation. This involves developing and maintaining contract cost models, assessing costs against budgets, and identifying areas for cost savings.
You will also be involved in measuring, validating, recommending, and authorising monthly valuations/payments, capturing, and recording cost data. Your expertise will help to inform strategic decisions and drive business growth.
Your Skills and Experience- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, preferably from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
- Significant experience in contract cost control, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Expertise in pre-contract measurement and the production of cost plans and bills of quantities.
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A competitive salary range of £36,000-£52,000 per annum, depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience. You can expect a basic salary of £46,500 per annum, with opportunities for annual increments based on performance.
A 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday off work, plus 270 hours of annual leave, providing you with an excellent work-life balance.
