Location: Lewisham

Job Description:

We are seeking a confident and understanding Autism Experience Teaching Assistant to join our team at a diverse and inclusive Primary School in Lewisham. The successful candidate will provide constant care and support for pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2 with ASDD requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Develop and implement tailored teaching methods to meet the educational needs of pupils with ASD
  • Collaborate with specialist staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience for pupils with ASD
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic well-being of pupils with ASD

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies to support pupils with ASD
  • Passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and a desire to make a positive impact
