About the Role

This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with a passion for supporting children and young people in need. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care are met, while promoting the principles of therapeutic parenting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of Residential Child Care Workers and supporting the Registered Manager
  • Organising and planning shifts, including rotas and work schedules
  • Providing supervision, guidance, and training to team members
  • Working closely with families, communities, and multi-agency partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young people

You will be responsible for promoting learning and development opportunities, ensuring that the team is motivated to continually strive for improvement and best practice.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of eighteen months experience working with Children and Young People
  • A proven track record in team building and supervision
  • Qualification to SCQF Level 7 (Scotland) or HNC or Level 3 in Residential Child Care (England)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise
