Future Teachers Programme

Teaching Personnel is offering a unique opportunity for aspiring teachers to join our Future Teachers Programme in Liverpool. This one-year paid placement is designed to give you first-hand experience working in a school setting, helping you develop the skills and confidence to become a fully qualified teacher.

About the Programme

Our structured Future Teachers Programme is designed to provide you with the skills and experience needed to succeed as a teacher. You will work alongside experienced teaching staff, supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities, working with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to help improve their academic progress, and assisting with planning and preparing learning materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Working with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to help improve their academic progress.
  • Assisting with planning and preparing learning materials.
  • Gaining experience in managing classroom behaviour.
  • Observing and learning from experienced teachers.
  • Developing your understanding of the curriculum and teaching methods.

Ideal Candidate

  • A recent graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) with a degree in any subject.
  • Passionate about pursuing a career in education.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • An ability to build relationships with students and staff.
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
  • A positive role model with a desire to inspire and support students.

Requirements

  • A degree in any subject or be in the final year of study.
  • A commitment to pursuing a career in teaching.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
