Receptionist - Patient Services Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and registering patients, including accurate collection of credit card details and patient information
- Directing patients, consultants, and hospital teams as required, in a warm and professional manner
- Compliance with NHS forms and processes
- Processing in-patient/out-patient charges
- Cash handling within the parameters of the 'Handling Cash Policy'
- Discharge of patients onto computer system, ensuring accuracy of all information
- Managing the hospital switchboard, responding to calls and enquiries in a timely manner
- Undertaking various clerical duties, including checking bed status reports, ordering and distribution of newspapers, and booking taxis
Requirements:
- A personable individual with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Good basic PC skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills
- High degree of accuracy in administration
- Great communication skills at all levels
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Switchboard experience desirable
Working Patterns: Monday to Friday, with expected weekends on rotation. Shifts will be between 6.30am and 21.30pm.
