About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual Technician to join our team at Elton Recruitment. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and coordination assistance for live and hybrid events, as well as performing regular room checks and preventative maintenance on IT (AV/UC) equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and coordination assistance for live and hybrid events, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular room checks and preventative maintenance on IT (AV/UC) equipment, documenting and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve client meeting room technical problems involving multiple technologies and platforms.
  • Project Work: Participate in project work as required, including non-business hour deployments (e.g. nights and weekends).
  • Equipment Operation: Operate movie projector, slide projector, television/cablevision, microphones and speakers, Polycom, Crestron, Raspberry Pi devices, and instruct others in the operation of such equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of IT and audio-visual equipment.
  • Process Adherence: Adhere to IT processes and procedures.
  • Clerical Work: Perform clerical work necessary to procurement, distribution, and storage of audio-visual materials.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve support issues promptly, courteously, and professionally, and troubleshoot a wide range of technology incidents and problems.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Teams basic user management, Teams Rooms, basic networking and SIP protocol understanding, troubleshooting skills with a broad software application skillset, demonstrable ability to master new software applications and technologies, and prior experience with a ticketing system.
  • Experience: Solid experience with Windows operating systems and hardware in a computer support-related setting, and a school graduate with at least one year of experience in the operation and maintenance of audio-visual equipment.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communications skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, general clerical skills, and superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong dedication to customer service.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with physical demands such as continuous walking, standing, sitting, and manual dexterity, frequent bending, lifting, handling, and reaching, occasional pushing/pulling, squatting, and climbing.
