Job Title: Run Plant Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Run Plant Engineer to join our team at Victrex, a world leader in high-performance PEEK and PAEK polymer solutions. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant facilities and driving business growth.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Manufacturing Leader in delivering the production plan and ensuring risks are assessed and impacts are managed to meet targets.
  • Acting as a technical expert for the operational area, including process assets, standard operating procedures, and operating systems.
  • Driving SHE performance, coaching, and influencing shift teams to achieve the value stream SHE strategy and objectives.
  • Identifying deviations and triaging for resolution through root cause analysis (RCA). Deviations include Accident/Incident Management (AIMS) Events & corrective action reports (CAR's).
  • Supporting the Manufacturing Leader in driving efficiencies in business-as-usual operations and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in the Victrex Management System (VMS).
  • Own OEE data and creating mechanisms for operator engagement to ensure accurate data collection, detailed analysis, and resolution.
  • Undertaking technical evaluation within the production environment for all management of change submissions.
  • Coaching shift teams on all aspects of safety, quality, delivery, costs, and performance.
  • Supporting the Manufacturing Leader with customer complaints investigations.
About You

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and teamwork skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or industrial sectors would be advantageous.

Our ideal candidate will have proven knowledge of process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies, as well as familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations. A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is essential for this role.
