About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our catering team at Langford View, a specialist care home providing high-quality residential, nursing, early-stage dementia, and respite care for up to 60 residents.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals for our residents, taking into account their individual nutritional needs and preferences. You will work closely with our team to ensure that every meal is a positive experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, following recipes and dietary requirements
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth meal service
- Engage with residents to understand their individual needs and preferences
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience of working in a professional kitchen, catering for specialist diets, and providing meals for large groups of people. You will also need to hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and be working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking or equivalent.
