Market Data Governance Specialist

Referment is working with a global Hedge Fund to find a Market Data Governance Specialist to join their team in London. The successful candidate will report to the Global Data Compliance Director and work as part of the wider Market Data team.

The Market Data Governance Specialist will play a key role in establishing, implementing, and managing the firm's governance frameworks and risk mitigation practices. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in data governance, both as an owner and a steward.

Key responsibilities include:
• Developing and enforcing a data governance framework that aligns with corporate policies and industry standards.
• Establishing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize impacts related to data.
• Developing and managing incident management processes to respond to and recover from production data incidents.
• Monitoring emerging risks and regulatory changes that may impact data operations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a data governance role as an owner and/or steward, or a related role within a similar firm.
