Mechanical Fitter Position

Chart Industries is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in the UK. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Field Service Team to install and commission LNG stations, as well as perform mechanical repairs, services, and overhauls of rotating plant in our Chesterfield Service Centre.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards, as well as strict adherence to Health and Safety JSA's and risk assessments. You will also be involved in routine service, repair, overhaul, and installation of rotating equipment, and will communicate with project managers, workshop staff, and clients to control activities and provide technical support.
We are looking for a candidate with a recognized engineering apprenticeship, Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience, and hand-on experience of working in a mechanical/industrial environment. You should also have good communication skills, ability to self-manage, and a full clean driving license. IOSH qualification, HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience, and knowledge of Electrical systems and Programmable Logic Controllers and applications are desirable.
