We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Chart Industries. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in supporting our Field Service Team to install and commission LNG stations within the UK. In addition, you will also be responsible for supporting mechanical repair, service, and overhaul of rotating plant in our Chesterfield Service Centre, as and when required.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team and contribute to the success of our business. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards, as well as strict adherence to Health and Safety JSA's and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and commissioning of LNG stations within the UK
  • Supporting mechanical repair, service, and overhaul of rotating plant in the Chesterfield Service Centre
  • Ensuring adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards
  • Strict adherence to Health and Safety JSA's and risk assessments
  • Communicating with project managers, workshop staff, and clients to control activities and provide technical support
  • Preparing and issuing all documentation relative to processing of activities
  • Carrying out analysis of machinery and providing condition reports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognised engineering apprenticeship, a Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience, and hand-on experience of working in a mechanical/industrial environment. You will also need to have good communication skills, the ability to self-manage, and a full clean driving license.
