Mechanical Fitter Position

Chart Industries is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in the UK. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Field Service Team to install and commission LNG stations. You will also be responsible for mechanical repair, service, and overhaul of rotating plant in our Chesterfield Service Centre, with occasional travel to customer sites in the UK.
About the RoleWe are looking for a Mechanical Fitter with a recognized engineering apprenticeship and Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience. You will have hands-on experience working in a mechanical/industrial environment and possess excellent time management and communication skills. A full clean driving license and willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally worldwide are also essential.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Strictly follow Health and Safety JSA's and risk assessments.
- Involve in all activities for routine service, repair, overhaul, and installation of rotating equipment.
- Communicate with project managers, workshop staff, and clients to control activities and provide technical support.
- Prepare and issue documentation relative to processing of activities.
- Carry out analysis of machinery and provide condition reports.
- Interact and respond to all aspects of the business, supporting SHE, efficiency, delivery, and quality improvements.
