We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Chart Industries. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Field Service Team to install and commission LNG stations within the UK. In addition, you will also be responsible for mechanical repair, service, and overhaul of rotating plant in our Chesterfield Service Centre, as and when required. You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites in the UK and occasionally worldwide to support our clients.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team and contribute to the success of our company. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards. You will also be involved in all activities related to the routine service, repair, overhaul, and installation of rotating equipment in compliance with company standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Strict adherence to Health and Safety JSA's & risk assessments.
  • Involvement in all activities related to the routine service, repair, overhaul, and installation of rotating equipment.
  • Communicate with project managers, workshop staff, and clients to control activities and provide technical support.
  • Prepare and issue all documentation relative to processing of activities.
  • Carry out analysis of machinery and provide condition reports.
  • Interact and respond to all aspects of the business, supporting SHE, efficiency, delivery, and quality improvements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognised engineering apprenticeship, a Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience. You will also need to have hand-on experience of working in a mechanical/industrial environment, good communication skills, and the ability to self-manage. A full clean driving license is also required.
