About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nuclear Associate to join our team at the Office of Nuclear Regulation. As a Nuclear Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and secure operation of nuclear facilities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and undertake inspections, assessments, and research projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective human factors solutions to mitigate risks and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and address human factors issues.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to duty holders on human factors best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of technical guidance and policy documents.
Requirements
  • Sc. in Human Factors or Psychology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Graduate membership of the Chartered Institute for Ergonomics and Human Factors or the British Psychological Society.
  • Experience of applying human factors in the nuclear sector or alternative high-hazard industries.
  • Ability to make sound judgements and influence effective performance improvement.
  • Developing technical knowledge and experience applying human factors topics.
