Job Title: Climate Change Ecologist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Climate Change Ecologist to join our team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for conducting ecological studies across a range of projects to identify and advise on their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking ecological site surveys to assess the impact of projects on the environment
  • Leading protected species surveys and assisting on data collation to ensure compliance with UK wildlife legislation
  • Developing and implementing strategies to minimize the environmental impact of projects

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of ecology and environmental goals within rail and infrastructure sectors
  • Experience of assessments such as PEAs and site surveys
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
