Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of our Petroleum Engineering team in Norwich. You will be in charge of reviewing wells and fields to maximise production from matured assets. Your responsibilities include:

  • Production monitoring, surveillance. Populate and keep live the production and G&G databases. Being sensible to the importance of data quality is essential.
  • Define bottlenecks and propose solutions to overcome them.
  • Preparation of workover/well interventions proposals: candidates screening and ranking, scope of work definition, production and economics calculations.
  • Preparation of data acquisition programs (pressure surveys, cased hole logging).

You will also support Reservoir Engineers for Field Development Studies and challenge existing designs and well operational processes in order to propose some optimisations in term of technology and practice.

In addition, you will be required to competently operate Safety Critical Tasks and visit offshore platforms when necessary to attend drilling/WO/well interventions or any other optimisation jobs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MSc Petroleum Engineering with at least 3 years of experience / BSc Petroleum Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in oil and gas industry, preferably with operating companies.
  • IT Literate and familiar with IPM software (MBAL, Prosper, GAP), well testing software (Kappa), OFM or Sahara, Microsoft Suite (strong in Excel).
  • Flexibility to travel offshore if required.
