Heavy Industrial Vehicle Engineer

As a Heavy Industrial Vehicle Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of mobile plants and equipment across Rotherham and Sheffield. This includes performing MOT preparation, annual servicing, and breakdown repairs on-site vans, as well as maintaining and repairing HGVs, trailers, mobile cranes, forklifts, and specialized heavy industrial vehicles used in the steelmaking industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on mobile plants and equipment.
- Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic work on complex systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to achieve departmental objectives.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years of experience. A full, valid UK driving license is also essential. In addition, a BTEC or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also required.
