SEN Classroom Support Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Special Education Assistant to join our experienced team in supporting pupils with their learning activities in school classes. The role involves supervising pupils, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and assisting with personal care.

About the Job

The successful candidate will work with children aged 2-19 years who have severe, complex, profound, and multiple learning difficulties or autism. The role can be challenging, but it is also highly rewarding, and all staff are supported in their professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise pupils in school classes
  2. Maintain a safe and supportive environment
  3. Assist pupils with toileting and personal care
  4. Support learning activities and promote engagement
Requirements
  • Good general education
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children or young people in the UK
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
Salary Information

The salary for this role is £12.98 per hour, working 8:20 am - 4pm. We offer a full-time position, with the possibility of temp-to-perm conversion.
