Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Commercial Lawyer with expertise in regulatory compliance to join our team as a Senior Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of accelerating growth through strategic partnerships and reviewing commercial agreements.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious lawyer to work closely with our Sales and Customer Success teams to review and negotiate commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will have experience working with complex customers and balancing legal risk against commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to review and negotiate commercial agreements with key customers
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance and data protection
  • Work closely with IT and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with national and international data protection legislation
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure data protection and compliance
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to resolve legal challenges and provide pragmatic legal advice

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in commercial law, particularly in regulatory compliance and data protection
  • Experience working with complex customers and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of UK and EU data protection laws (US would be beneficial)
