Job Description

As a key member of the Macro team, you will play a crucial role in delivering social value initiatives that drive positive impact in our communities. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with external stakeholders, work with the supply chain to deliver social value, and measure, monitor, and report on social value performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate social value activities, including school engagement, volunteering, and community events
  • Work with the supply chain to ensure they deliver social value commitments and collect data on social value delivery
  • Develop and maintain a Social Value Handbook, containing KPIs, guidance, and reporting requirements
  • Partner with local providers to deliver apprenticeships and support supply chain with delivery
  • Engage with local colleges to provide T-level business work placement opportunities and work experience
  • Host Meet the Buyer Events and engage the local supply chain on upcoming procurement opportunities
  • Work with the project team and sustainability experts to host education sessions on air quality and decarbonisation workshops for local SMEs
  • Plan and host regular volunteering opportunities and encourage project team and contract workforce participation
  • Develop and deliver a school's engagement program to local students in deprived areas
  • Identify support required by local charity partners and community groups using grants from the Macro Foundation
  • Provide bespoke career advice for refugees and signpost them to potential jobs available on the project
  • Work in partnership with Client's Choices to ensure jobs on the project are inclusive and accessible
Requirements
  • Excellent communication, engagement, and relationship building skills
  • Data analysis capabilities and familiarity with Excel and data collation
  • Good IT skills, advanced user of MS Office and associated packages
