Strategic Investor Relations Manager

We're seeking a motivated Strategic Investor Relations Manager to join our Investor Relations team. This role is focused on developing and communicating our investment proposition to various stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance our investor relations activities, including shaping investor marketing activities and producing insightful reports for the Board and Executive team.
- Lead on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) related matters for shareholders, working closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer and ESG reporting teams.
- Build a strong network of internal relationships to stay current with business unit activities and support investor messaging.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of all investor communications, including results announcements, presentations, and capital markets days.
- SUPPORT THE TEAM in monitoring share register developments and share price performance, producing analysis to explain movements and trends.
- Liaise and collaborate with Group Corporate Affairs, Communications teams, and Business Units to ensure coordination and effective communications management.
- Engage with corporate brokers as required.
- Support the development of the Investor Relations 12-month rolling plan, identifying areas for adaptation and improvement.
- Communicate the Investor Relations strategy, activities, and value proposition across National Grid through planned communications and internal engagements.
- Stay up-to-date with equity market influences and developments to ensure National Grid's position.
Key Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent financial qualification (e.g., CFA, ACA, CIMA, ACT) desirable.
- Experience in investor relations, financial reporting, or a similar stakeholder-facing environment.
- Understanding of equity capital markets, particularly in the Utility and Power sectors desirable.
- Ability to review, interpret, and distill complex business and financial information for various audiences.
- Experience in presenting to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thought leadership with vision and execution skills.
- Influencing and networking skills to effectively communicate our investor proposition.
