At National Grid, we're seeking a skilled Investor Relations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Investor Relations (IR) team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and communicating our investment proposition to the market.

This role focuses on creating and delivering content for financial results and investor events, acting as a key interface with buy-side investors and sell-side analysts. You'll also support Executives at investor events and collaborate with external advisors, including corporate brokers and media advisors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and inputting into key designated areas of Investor Relations activity, including shaping investor marketing activities and developing materials for year-end and half-year results announcements.
  • Producing insightful monthly reports for the Board and Executive team, as well as regular investor meetings and site visits.
  • Developing a strong network of internal relationships to ensure the Investor Relations team remains current with activity across the business units.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of all communications for the investor community, including results announcements, presentations, and capital markets days.
  • Liaising and collaborating with Group Corporate Affairs, Communications teams, and Business Units to ensure coordination and effective communications management.

Requirements include:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent financial qualification (e.g., CFA, ACA, CIMA, ACT).
  • Practical experience in at least one of the following areas: Investor Relations, financial reporting, or the investor community.
  • Understanding of equity capital markets, ideally in the Utility and Power or Energy sectors.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and distill complex business and financial information for various audiences.
  • Experience presenting to a wide range of audiences.
  • Strategic thought leadership and ability to turn thinking into a clear vision and executable plan.
  • Ability to influence others, including senior stakeholders.
