At SMS Environmental, we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Technical Services team as a Trainee Water Treatment Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in water treatment and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our internal chemists and mechanical engineers to deliver high-quality water treatment services.
  • Conduct fault finding, remediation, and installation of water treatment systems, as well as ongoing maintenance.
  • Perform water treatment analysis, system performance, and remediation works.
  • Carry out heating and chilled closed system works.
  • Servicing of water softeners and other water treatment systems.
  • Complete all work on in-house software using an iPad.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to a variety of clients.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a trade role, delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Passion and dedication to develop your career within water hygiene.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, as well as on your own.
  • The ability to use IT equipment such as an iPad and mobile phone.
  • Excellent time-keeping.
  • Flexibility to travel (dependent on business needs).
  • Full UK, manual, driving license.
