Senior Process Controller Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Controller to join our team at Thames Water Utilities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and continuous operation of our water treatment works in the North Oxford area. This includes operating and optimizing all processes and equipment to ensure water quality, compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of our water treatment works, including monitoring and controlling process variables to maintain optimal performance.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with the production manager and technical coordinator to deliver the production plan and promote first-time fixes.
  • Participate in out-of-hours standby rota to provide critical cover for gas deliveries.
  • Complete ADR and towing training to ensure we have the necessary expertise to respond to emergencies.

Requirements:

  • An experienced Tech 1 or M&E Technician with a strong understanding of water treatment processes.
  • Competent in using company IT systems and Microsoft Office.
  • IOSH trained or willing to complete H&S training.
