We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join our renal pharmacy team at The Royal Free. As a Senior Pharmacist - Renal Care, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical guidance and leadership to our multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective medication management strategies for patients with renal disease.
Main Duties
- Act as a deputy for the Principal Pharmacist when necessary
- Regular active participation in specialty ward rounds to support safe and effective use of medicines
- Prescribing and optimization of transplant medicines in clinics
- To act as a clinical role model, and support training and supervision of junior members of the pharmacy team
- Development and implementation of clinical guidelines
- Effective control of drug expenditure and management of processes regarding high-cost drugs
- To participate in audits and practice research
- To work with the clinical risk team to minimize the risk of medicines
Required Skills and Qualifications
- MPharm or equivalent
- GPhC registration
- Diploma in Pharmacy
- Practice or equivalent
- Registered Independent Prescriber
