We are seeking a highly skilled SEND Behaviour Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students who require additional support due to Autism or other needs.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, long-term position starting from January 2025. You will work collaboratively with students, teachers, and therapists to ensure they receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.

Your Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Develop and implement individualized behaviour support plans for each student
  • Assist students with daily living tasks and provide emotional support when needed
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices
">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with students with Autism or similar needs
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting individuals
  • An empathetic and engaging personality
