Job Opportunity: Mental Health Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:

  • Support children with SEMH needs in a specialist school setting
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Participate in on-site training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs or similar
  • Knowledge of mental health principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Right to work in the UK (no Visa sponsorship)
