Dental Engineer

We're a dynamic and innovative company based in the South Cambridge area, pioneering advancements in the energy storage space.
As a Laboratory Engineer, you'll play a vital role in supporting our operations as we transition into a commercial phase, with new products in development.
Our well-equipped labs are set to expand, and we're seeking an experienced and proactive Engineer to oversee daily operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring facilities are efficient and effective.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Lab Manager to manage lab operations and implement maintenance schedules
- Oversee lab waste management, including coordination with waste management companies
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment, with a focus on record-keeping
- Develop and implement maintenance protocols for lab instruments and equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and PPM for high-use equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment repairs and maintenance
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Train and supervise the lab team on equipment use and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on handling chemicals and gases
- Strong health and safety focus, with experience in risk assessments and COSHH
- Experience with equipment maintenance and servicing
- Able to work effectively within a small team, providing training and mentorship
- Enthusiastic about working in a growing company and contributing to its success
- A competitive salary of £32-37k, depending on experience
