About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Renal Education Specialist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical education team, you will play a vital role in promoting high standards of care and developing the skills of our healthcare staff.

The successful candidate will have expertise in both paediatric renal care and education, with a passion for teaching and development. You will be responsible for leading the Renal foundation course, co-ordinating clinical simulation within the wards, and supporting ward managers with performance management. Your excellent communication and leadership skills will enable you to motivate and develop staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Renal foundation course

Person Specification

Essential

  • RSCN/RN(Child, Mental Health, Adult, Learning Disabilities) or Operation Department Practitioner
  • Degree (or working towards)
  • Mentorship/assessor/supervisor qualification or course
  • Specialist qualification/internal training

Desirable

  • PGCert (or higher) in Education

Salary

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum
