About the Role

As a senior communications specialist, you will play a critical role in driving our global marketing team's success.

This position will involve generating new business leads through customer relationship development, cold calling, attendance at industry-related events, and market searching.

You will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening existing customer relationships through a detailed understanding of customer business strategy and needs.

In this role, you will develop sales plans and approaches to grow existing customer account share of wallet through cross-selling and up-selling as well as the sale of integrated packages, sponsorship, and advertising.

You will deliver assigned sales campaigns against accounts, products, and revenue targets.

A key requirement of this position is strong brand and industry-specific knowledge, including competitor events, to enhance and improve new business sales performance.

You will support on-site re-booking of existing customer accounts.

Accurate use of Salesforce reporting will communicate to leadership the latest customer pipeline and booked information.

Maintaining accurate and timely customer information and notes within Salesforce (CRM system) is crucial.

This role involves managing the handover of sales information and customer requirements (via Salesforce) to the Event Operations and Event teams.

You will act as an informal mentor to Account Executives to share industry knowledge and experience.

In addition, you will design and execute result-driven marketing campaigns for the show. Work hands-on with internal sales, events, and operation teams, as well as external partners and suppliers to deliver each initiative on the marketing calendar.

You will manage content, social media, creative & marketing agencies and suppliers to identify market opportunities, generate leads, and meet the targeted attendance for show exhibitors and visitors.

This role involves developing regional digital and social media strategies in line with event branding guidelines, leveraging local insights, influencers, and partners to build brand awareness for the show.

You will work closely with key stakeholders to gather audience and commercial insights, develop data-driven strategies to motivate show visitors, and execute effective campaigns.

This position requires competitive benchmarking and providing data-driven insights and best practices for the audience acquisition plan.

You will generate reports and drive analysis and recommendations regularly by evaluating channel effectiveness against relevant performance metrics using different tracking tools such as Google Analytics and PowerBI.

This role involves overseeing the content management of the company's digital and social media channels (including email marketing platforms, CMS, FB, IG, WeChat, YouTube & LinkedIn).

Onsite event management includes but is not limited to:

  • Pre-registration and onsite registration.
  • Supervision of survey temp staff to ensure quality insights are captured.
  • Conduct post-show survey and analysis.

We offer a salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related disciplines.

At least 6-8 years of working experience preferably in the events or exhibitions industry is required.

Prior experience in Digital Marketing, B2B Marketing, Events Marketing is highly preferred.

A good command of English and Chinese is necessary.

Experience in managing web, email marketing, and social media platforms (i.e. Eloqua, SurveyMonkey, WordPress, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat) will be a definite advantage.

Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is expected.

Photoshop and Illustrator would be a plus.

You should be reliable, creative, and able to work independently under pressure, with the ability to multitask several projects and complete them efficiently within tight deadlines.
