Consultant - Emergency General Surgery Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Consultant to join our Emergency General Surgery department at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our surgical services.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with the current specialty leads to develop initial working patterns and operating procedures for the department.
- Provide an Emergency General Surgery service of the highest standards for Cornwall.
- Develop a specialty interest within the realms of children's general surgery, colorectal or upper GI surgery, hepatobiliary or complex endoscopic practice.
- Share responsibility with colleagues for the day-to-day management of the EGS department.
- Teach and train junior staff and medical students in EGS.
- Ensure ongoing development via Continuing Medical Education (CME).
