Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and treatment of children and young people with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultant-level care to children and young people with complex mental health needs
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects
Requirements:
- Completion of Higher Psychiatric Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
