Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of our urgent care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric assessments and treatment to children and adolescents in our urgent care team
  • Lead on the development of our Tier 3.5 service (Urgent Care Outreach Service) for Hillingdon
  • Contribute to the monthly senior management meetings for the local CAMHS as well as the crisis pathway
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychiatry trainees and specialty doctors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practice
  • Section 12 MHA Approved
  • Approved Clinician status (or undertaking to obtain this on taking up the post)
  • Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrist (MRCPsych) or equivalent qualifications/certification
  • Listed on the Specialist Register of the GMC Medical Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or eligible to register within six months of interview date)
