We Are Adam is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Merchandising to join our team. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing merchandising strategies to drive sales, profitability, and inventory goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and inventory goals.
  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to make informed buying decisions, ensuring effective inventory management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely product delivery and implement inventory control systems to optimise stock turnover.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, conduct performance evaluations, and address issues promptly.
  • Manage product lifecycle from introduction to clearance, plan and execute promotions, and monitor competitor pricing to adjust strategies.
  • Lead and mentor the merchandise team, provide guidance, conduct performance reviews, and create a positive work environment.
  • Organise training sessions to enhance team skills and present regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Analyse sales reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform future merchandising decisions and present regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Work with the sales team to understand customer needs, partner with marketing to develop advertising campaigns, and coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure timely product delivery and distribution.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional analytical skills for interpreting sales data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and merchandising software.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a keen eye for design and trends.
