Job Title: Sous Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at ESS. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food, ensuring that it meets the company's standards
* Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
* Ensure that all kitchen staff follow correct food and hygiene standards
* Lead by example, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
* Participate in the recruitment process, including interviews and trials for potential new team members
* Communicate with the Head Chef on a regular basis regarding stock levels and other kitchen-related matters

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
* Ability to carry out manual handling, including lifting and moving stock and equipment
* Confident in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook
