Operations Director Opportunity at HTSL Group

MM Search is delighted to be working with HTSL Group on their new Operations Director opportunity. HTSL is a group of companies that supports the UK's radiation industry.

Purpose:

This exciting new senior position at HTSL Group offers a broad range of responsibilities for our people, business processes, systems, and operations. Reporting directly to the MD and working collaboratively with other team members, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the group's future success and continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute operational strategies to optimize efficiency and support the group's growth.
  2. Deliver the highest level of customer service.
  3. Manage against agreed budgets for costs and revenue.
  4. Deliver agreed KPIs and targets.
  5. Align the group companies' systems, processes, and functions.
  6. Maintain operational integrity and excellence, ensuring robust governance, subcontractor management, and performance reporting.
  7. Work with business group leadership teams and operational managers to improve delivery performance.
  8. Oversee onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  9. Overall responsibility for people, training, and development.
  10. Actively identify, pursue, and develop opportunities for innovation, such as digitalization and technology use.
  11. Ownership of EHSQ matters, development of EHSQ values, and ensure they are always delivered and adhered to, proactively leading and demonstrating safety behavioral values.
  12. Lead and focus the team to attain all HSE plans, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with regulation and legislation while ensuring a safe working environment.
  13. Proactive risk management.

  1. Proven experience in a senior leadership role with accountability for business management, systems, operations, and people.
  2. Experience of internal facing communication.
  3. Strong relevant technical expertise or commercial/business management applied in a technical group.
  4. Team building skills – motivating people, proactively enabling cross-functional best practice.
  5. Ability to lead change programs.
  6. The ability to influence and challenge others to behave in ways consistent with the interest of the group.
  7. Business awareness and commercial acumen to contribute to the competitive advantage of the business.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
