We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at Whinnieknowe, a care home located in the heart of Nairn. As a key worker for designated service users, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing care plans, assisting with personal and intimate care, and helping with the use of any aids or equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users
- Assist with personal and intimate care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Help service users with the use of aids and equipment, such as wheelchairs and walking frames
- Liaise with health professionals as needed to ensure the best possible care for service users
- Support mental and physical activities, such as exercise and social events
- Maintain a high standard of personal environment and effects
- Monitor nutritional needs and ensure service users receive a balanced diet
- Answer emergency calls and respond to service user needs
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of care plans
- Work on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings
- Hold or be working towards an SVQ 3 in Social Care
- Have basic computer literacy skills
- Be respectful of CrossReach's Christian ethos and able to work within it
- Be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undergo necessary vetting checks
- Be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
