We are seeking an Transportation Engineer to join our client's team in Reading, working on a variety of HGV vehicles. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to use their technical knowledge and expertise to improve vehicle performance and efficiency.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle servicing, fault finding, and repairs, working closely with other engineers to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a busy workshop environment, with strong mechanical skills and a good understanding of electronics and hydraulics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Servicing: Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with regulations.
  • Fault Finding: Use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and diagnose faults, ensuring efficient and cost-effective repairs.
  • Repairs: Carry out mechanical and ancillary equipment repairs, including hydraulics, chassis, and bodywork.
  • MOT Preparation: Ensure all vehicles are prepared for MOT tests, completing necessary paperwork and checks.
